Under 15's
As you may be aware we are not running the under 15's team this year due to so many of the squad being too old to participate and we do not have enough to enter an under 17's team.
We have therefore entered a team in the Newark Alliance Sunday league which will be made up of the under 15's squad and myself, Paul Williams and Matt Oliver (first team keeper batter). Not all 3 of the senior players will be playing all of the time as the intention is for the younger members to develop into senior cricket and they will only do this by playing - the 3 senior players will be there to oversee matters and offer guidance both on and off the field.
Training starts this year on Sunday 5th February for 8 weeks at the indoor cricket centre on Bar Lane in Basford - used to be the John Birch Indoor Centre - and the sessions will run from 3-4pm. The cost of the session per person will be £3.50.
As with previous sessions we will be going back to basics with a view to building on what we have learnt over the past few seasons and initially this will mean that no protective gear will be needed although we may introduce a 'net' session at some point.
