Nottinghamshire Premier League Twenty20 Finals Day Friday 13th August 2010 – Trent Bridge
This year’s Nottinghamshire Premier League Twenty20 finals day is to be held at Trent Bridge on Friday 13th August; the league is privileged to be the only Premier League in the country to have the opportunity to hold its finals day at a first-class venue. And not just any first class venue, but one of the most attractive Test grounds in the world.
This is a rare privilege and the Premier League is very grateful to Nottinghamshire CCC for allowing us to use their facilities.
Whether the opportunity to play on such a stage is afforded to clubs in future years depends largely upon how well this event is supported, so we urge you to come and along and watch!
The schedule for the day is:
- 10:45 am Clifton Village v West Indian Cavaliers (First semi final)
- 2:00 pm Cuckney v Rolls Royce Leisure (Second Semi Final)
- 5:15 pm Final (Under Floodlights)
The winners will progress to the national stages of the Cockspur Twenty20 competition.
Entry is free to all and the main entrance to the ground will open at 10:15 am; there will be refreshments and snacks on sale.
Please come along and support the day so that the opportunity to play on one of the world’s greatest grounds is available to Nottinghamshire’s recreational players in years to come.

Academy
I just wanted to express my thanks for making yesterday a real success, from the cakes made by the ladies to the drills done by Derick to the people helping with the morning sessions and drills and playing - thanks also to Paul for organising the lads v dads game.
I was particularly impressed with the way the youngest members of the Academy are coming along, I tend to get a little isolated just coaching the under 15's but I am delighted at the way they are progressing - a credit to all involved.
Simon (Academy Director)
Presidents/Chairmans Day
Pete Owen (Chairman) also wanted to say a big thank you to everyone for all the effort and time put in yesterday. It turned out to be a great day with a lot of fun and everyone I have spoken to say they really enjoyed it.
Mike Brown (President) also added - "It says presidents day on the fixture card.but it realy was club members day with everyone, from early morning to late afternoon enjoying themselves and contributing to a well organised and successful occasion special thanks to those who performed quietly behind the scenes, the umpires the caterers and the ticket sellers you all helped to make the day special."

On Sunday the 25th, Holme Pierrepont will be hosting the annual Race for Life event which is due to start at 11am.
This is just a quick message to remind you that you'll have to leave a bit earlier on that morning as the traffic around the ground will be quite bad.

On Thursday 15th July a number of our club members including some from our ladies team are heading to Trent Bridge.
We will be watching Notts Outlaws play against the Leicestershire Foxes in a T20 match.
The match starts at 19:00 and we intend to sit in the Radcliffe Road stand downstairs.
Tickets are available from the Notts CCC website here: https://www.eticketing.co.uk/nottsccc/default.aspx
It should be a great game so come down and join us for a fun evening.

Our academy is rapidly growing and we would welcome the help of some parents to help with the sessions.
Whatever your ability we'd be happy to have you alongside one of our coaches as another pair of hands and eyes to keep the sessions running smoothly.
If your are interested in pursuing this further please speak to one of the coaches on a Sunday morning and we'll get you involved.
We can also put you forward to go on qualified coach courses should this be of interest to you.

The day will begin at 10.30 as usual but the coaching session will end at 11.30.
After a short break Derick Bamber, our overseas player, will be taking all of the groups from the youngest up to the coaching staff for training sessions in front of the pavilion so you can see what skills the children are being taught as well as the senior players.
This will continue until 12.30 and after a further break of half an hour or so the lads will take on the dads on a 10 overs per side basis.
We are then looking to have the main seniors game at 2.30pm.

Why not have a 'one on one' lesson with one of our qualified coaches.
These are for everyone within the club - from the 1st Team down to the Academy.
Whatever your ability, the session will be tailored to you. Whether it be to improve your batting, bowling or fielding the coach will direct the lesson to aid improvement.
If you are interested in having 'one on one' coaching then please contact Simon Smith on 07780 621832
