Gedling and Sherwood Cricket Club takes part in NatWest CricketForce on Sunday 24th April 2011.
CricketForce is an England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) initiative aimed at rejuvenating local cricket clubs and giving volunteers an opportunity to get involved. NatWest CricketForce is the biggest annual volunteering event in sport and is set to attract enough volunteers to fill Lord’s Cricket Ground three times over (85,000).
It was great to see so many faces down at Regatta Way as we got th ground ready for the new season. Well done to everyone that helped out sorting the nets, sight screens and score box.

Entry will be £2.50 per player.
There will also be a raffle to help raise some funds for the club. We would be very grateful if you would like to donate a prize... please bring them down on the evening and hand to the bar staff.

Outdoor nets for the senior teams start Wednesday 27th down at Regatta Way.
Sessions will run from 6.30pm until 8pm
We intent to run the sessions with the following format:
- Warm Up
- Ground fielding drills
- Catching drills
- Nets practice
